Breaking News: War Taxi Awareness on The Rise!
8/15/17
Clan BLT's Own Are Effected by recent Scandal!
Over the past few weeks a small group (very small) of BLT Vehicle Team Personnel sought to raise awareness of the risks associated with needlessly taking on passengers in conflict zones. Now with global coverage it has become impossible for this news network to overlook the subject. According to protesters, chances of sudden and fiery death increase significantly for Vehicle Team Personnel when shipping extraneous passengers through those dangerous areas. As such passengers engage in back seat driving, revelry and unsound move orders, they take control and place the vehicle into the cross-hairs of danger. Although this happens while inserting any selfish squad leader and his men into a combat zone, the opponents of War Taxiing argue that issuing move orders in such rapid succession as to restrict that vehicle to a purely transport role withholds a combat vehicle from it's combat duties, leaving the crew and occupants unprotected.

It is clear Protesters argue that the misuse of any elite fighting unit, special forces being used as shock troops and firemen to save cats, will hurt the system. Such is the same with BLT Vehicle Teams being utilized as chauffeurs and their vehicles turned into glorified war taxis! The Vehicle Team Personnel demand an end to the abuse. It is clear that War Taxiing is wrong! But with this awareness comes those who want to exploit it.
We have just received word that some how the NYC Taxi Union has jumped on the issue, calling for justice. They have even welcomed the disgruntled personnel into their union, and set to work on a reasonable solution. Wedging their feet in the door with confusing legal loop holes. They now demand that Vehicle Team Personnel are allowed to charge fares equivalent to NYC Taxi fares for every passenger transport run in conflict zones, or else are paid an equivalent hourly rate. Since charging fares would require installing fare meters in combat vehicles, further crowding the cabin area, the equivalent pay seemed a more feasible solution. The information in the table below was provided by the NYC Taxi Union, and it calculates no less than an hourly rate of $77.66 for Vehicle Team Personnel to satisfy their concerns. BLT has brought in an engineer in order to track through a very recent War Taxi scandal, and determine if this hourly rate is, in fact, reasonable. Using satellite photographs from the recent situation, and washable window markers, the engineer has, unfortunately, confirmed the accuracy of the provided information. Experts say it is unlikely that BLT will give in to their expensive demands, but the Vehicle Teams will, no doubt, continue to protest.
If the drivers ask for fares, do not pay them. No official order has been given from leadership as of yet.
(Intern Engineer Verified)
All incidents in the recent scandal were within a 400m by 400m square field somewhere in kokan. Allegedly a certain squad leader (for his safety, his identity will be kept secret) issued the following pick up and drop offs within seven minutes inside of an active combat environment. Driving a total of 1.5 miles. NYC Taxi affiliate "Russian BTR Taxi Company" Employee id 000001 was forced to wait on standby and ferry individuals of the squad for seven minutes until he had no choice but to return to the main base. Footage of evasive donuts being done in the field were also seen. Gentlemen, no Vehicle Team should be reduced into such a situation. No word has been heard on whether the Squad Leader responsible will be punished. We will keep everyone updated on the subject as the issue progresses.
